Having chemotherapy and hormone therapy together for prostate cancer

If you have just been diagnosed with you might be offered chemotherapy alongside hormone therapy.

This combination can help men live longer and delay further pain.

If you’ve already had hormone therapy to control cancer and it has stopped working, you may also be offered chemo. On its own, the chemo may help you live longer, and delay or manage symptoms. Speak to your doctor and care team to learn if a chemo treatment plan may be right for you
